This policy (together with the Terms and Conditions) sets out the basis on which any personal data I collect from you, or that you provide to me, will be processed by me. 

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 2018 (''the Act'') the data controller is myself, Melanie Singlehurst.

 

I may collect and process the information that you provide by filling in forms on my website, this includes information provided by you when making an enquiry about my services and products and when you commission a portrait or buy an item from my Etsy shop or website. It also includes any information received if you email or phone me and any details of any transactions carried out in the purchase of commissions or items from my Etsy shop and website and the fulfilment of your orders and billing purposes.

All the information you provide to me is stored in a secure server. Unfortunately,  the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although I will do my best to protect your personal data, I cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to my website, any transmission is at your own risk. Once I have received your information I will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

 

I may use information I hold about you to provide you with information about my products and services that you request from me or which I feel may interest you where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes. Also, to carry out my obligations arising from you purchasing any of my products or services.

 

I will not disclose you information to any third party unless I am under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligations or in order to enforce or apply my Terms and Conditions of supply and other agreements or to protect the rights, property and safety of Melanie Singlehurst Pet Portraits, my customers or others.This includes exchanging information with other companies or organisations for the purpose of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

 

I will not sell or disclose your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. The Data Protection Act 2018 gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet my costs in providing you with the details of the information I hold about you.

 

My website may, from time to time, contain links to and from other websites that may be of interest to my clients. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please be aware that these websites will have their own privacy policies and that I do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies.
